Since DnD is going down it's more corrupt path I figured I'd flex my creative muscles to see if I could make a concept similar to a Lich without making it an outright Lich.


In my game system or world more of the fact magic and spirit is separate so warlocks aren't given spells but their patron or contractor channels spiritual energy through their body; the spirit aspect being that in exchange for power you have a limited amount of divine favors you can call upon a day.


While casters under my system can know a lot of spells but have a physical limit to their body without overworking it or having it study even further how to reduce the need to brute force the spells to cast or in general be smarter with what kind of spells they cast.


Soul Pyre fall under this idea of spirit but instead of calling upon divine favors, they're burning through souls instead. I explain more in the blog but basically all of their divine power comes from burning through strong souls so you can guess what Soul Pyres target, that being monks, warlocks, priest, etc.


Feedback on such a monster idea would be great.

I was looking at other places such as Unity as such, and holy hell I feel the need to upload art I could let people use for free because how bad/ overcharged the said artwork on other assets, and platforms are.


That's not to say mine are good but I was going to charge a small amount compared to others charging 30 fricking dollars for their horrible pixel art packs. At least with my stuff I want to be fair you know.

I decided I'm going to remove pixel art too similar to the original; my intention isn't to copy or to be stealing. Again I am showing the link/ original image to hold integrity, someone had a good idea of showing off the original image via the links. I want you to hold my feet to the fire, if I'm using a base model, I will tell you; I am not that bright, and I'm not going to be evil, stupid yes, evil; no.


I don't want to make something that's considered a trace. Also yes; rectangle objects are going to look similar, don't be daft; if the shape such as a dumpster, the shape is very simplistic. 99.99% of my art is inspired from another source.


I originally started doing this after my feather art looked so similar to another artist I never met before, even though the base model for the super feather was taken from Super Mario world, directly ripped from a video on youtube. Ever since then I have shown my sources via the images at first (unless I forget/ get lazy).


Venting

Being accused or even being called a tracer annoys me to no end, because when I DO trace like I did with my battery art, I don't get called out when I blatantly point to the source but when I don't trace when the image is at a different size, different pixel positions, just because the dumpster looks so similar, even though those dumpsters ARE AROUND ME LOOK LIKE THAT! As thus why I focused on the details.

Again if it looks to similar just bring it up, I will take it down, and try again for making it less similar. Also yes, smaller pixel art works are going to look similar, when the art is very basic, very lacking depth, now when art gets bigger; I can completely understand, as thus why I try to increase the size of the said art.

Look yes, and no. I don't value my ability to make art enough BUT I'm willing to sell said art assets for use, for how much? Very little if I'm honest. I'm thinking less than 0.99 cents a pack; I'll consider getting a pixel art pack together if need be.


I'm looking at some of the art assets being sold, and I'm realizing I could make something cheaper/ sell for a better price if I'm honest. So yeah feel free to DM me.

It's come to mind that yes my art looks different enough but after watching think before you sleep I've decided I want to go more ambitious, spread out my wings, and try to develop my own style even further from the source material I used. I will be re-creating many of my works, and putting the improved versions up while removing the trash. That, and I really do want my own art work to reflect that it's mine; to truly make something that draws people to my own works.

I couldn't get down what I wanted to do because in truth I wanted to make a pixel art game that was above 64 by 64 and do a game in 128 by 128 if not bigger for pixel art.
